Just some ideas I have, and not necessary for developers (Mark/s)) to reply... When and if we return to WOTR - go forward and do the Battle Of France Add-on - make it a paid add-on (not a freebie - you deserve to get financial rewards for the work). Try your very best to get in 4 new flyables (including what we already have (Hurricane, Spitfire, Bf-109)) - I would suggest something like Bf-110, Stuka, Curtis Hawk (though some may suggest Dewoitine D-520 - but these were mostly held in southern France and saw very little action relative to others - and Hawks make far more sense (plus I will admit a personal bias to wanting these the most), and Bristol Blenheim. Add in backwards functionality, sort-of-speak - if purchased this add-on allow Bf-110, Stuka, and Blenheim operations in the prior release (this would be an added perk/encouragement to also purchase a Battle of France Add-on). As to what price to set it at, I am not sure at this point - that would be the developers to determine what price-point they feel would generate the greatest overall return on investment. ...anyways, these are just some thoughts I was having about the future of WOTR. Thanks for doing exceptional work on both WOTR and WOFF UE.

Yes, it is a brilliant sim..and yes I certainly hope for more sales and more additions/phases. But I do hope they are willing to grow the franchise. I know it's a give and take - need sales to generate growth, but you also need product to entice and also expand a consumer base. Over Flanders Fields, which has their large consumer base (relatively speaking), was grown to be that way - it didn't start with a massive bang of players, I am sure. I have been along for the ride since OFF Phase 1 and Hat in the Ring expansion. It doesn't happen overnight. I do sincerely hope WOTR can be grown and developed into all it can. It is a terrific sim and OBD does amazing and passionate work with some of the very very best AI and most atmospheric single player dynamic campaign systems - and what they have been able to achieve with a now unrecognizable starting base has been a phenomenal metamorphosis. Regardless of what happens, OBD should be extremely proud of what they have been able to accomplish on both fronts (WOFF UE and WOTR), and we as consumers are lucky to be able to play such true quality and atmospheric gems.

You both make excellent points. I think WOTR has so much potential. Even using the current west Europe map.The opportunity is there to create a real classic simulation. Developing the Battle of Britain further with additional aircraft is a must. I'd like to see the Italian contingent in there eventually as well. You can also go back and have the fighting in France prior to the BOB. You can then move through the war years chronologically, starting with the RAF nuisance raids into France and Belgium in 1941/42. The German bombing of Britain 40/41/42/43. The maritime and anti submarine campaign. RAF and American bombing of western Europe 42/43/44/45. The Normandy landings and subsequent campaign. The battle of the Bulge. You can pretty much have campaigns spanning the whole war using the map already in use. If the potential is there to add additional maps then the Mediterranean and African theatres become possibilities. It's a lot of work definitely, but imagine how good WOTR will be with all that lot. It's very good now....it'll be downright amazing with all the above.
So, we take off in ten minutes, we're in the air for twenty minutes, which means we should be dead by twenty five to ten.

Haha Adger, I'm like that over most flight sims at the start, but most let you down after a while. WOTR has the potential.....that's for sure. I loved IL2 1946, especially with the Enjoyr campaigns added because it was possible to fly a career from Italian East Africa (or Finland) in 1940, all the way through to the end of the war, moving from Africa, to eastern Europe, back to western Europe for the Normandy campaigns and then back to the east until the Soviets reach Berlin in May 45. You could fly 400+ missions. IL2 wasn't perfect, it certainly had flaws but it was/is the most comprehensive WW2 flight sim yet developed. Nothing has come close to that since then. WOTR actually covers a campaign not directly covered in IL2 1946, so that's a plus point straight away.....and as mentioned....it has the potential to be better and more comprehensive then IL2....that would be awesome. Here's hoping

IL2 wasn't perfect, it certainly had flaws but it was/is the most comprehensive WW2 flight sim yet developed. I still occasionally fly to this day with BAT or VP modpack,loved the original pacific fighters aswell. I personnally prefer IL2 1946 to the newer BOX series. . I agree mate WOTR has massive potential and if ANY team can get the best out of the CFS3 engine its the OBD guys,i have my fingers and toes crossed that they can take this sim across Europe and beyond
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

Mate, we will all be dead by the time they get around to half of that lot... (come to think of it they will have kicked the bucket too!) Unless of course they hire a shed load of more chaps to help out...

Skoop: What do you mean by slide show ??? I have a i9 9900k, RTX 2080 Ti with a G-sync 4K monitor and I still have above 60 FPS 99% of the time.
And if you notice AnKor is working on Dx11, not DX12 shaders.
CPU = i9 11900K GPU = RTX 3080 Ti Monitor = ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 2160p G-sync
