A shame that embedding videos doesn't work at the moment but hopefully clicking the link isn't too much trouble for most smile its worth it.

I wish they had airbrushed the descent stage out of the LRO imagery but instead they stick a 3D model of the Eagle on it.

I think my favorite comment during the landing is Aldrin telling Armstrong "You're ah.. pegged on horizontal velocity", in other words "Slow down man!" LOL

“Government has three primary functions. It should provide for military defense of the nation. It should enforce contracts between individuals. It should protect citizens from crimes against themselves or their property. When government-- in pursuit of good intentions tries to rearrange the economy, legislate morality, or help special interests, the cost comes in inefficiency, lack of motivation, and loss of freedom. Government should be a referee, not an active player.” - Milton Friedman

I watched this the other night. Thanks for posting!

Really gives you a sense of what they had to deal with concerning the terrain.

I reckon they went off coms for a minute so the next words wouldn't be part of history.

"Holy sh--, we are on the Moon, Buzz."
"On the f---ing Moon, Neil. We are on the f---ing Moon!"
"Holy sh-t."

Also, for eight minutes of heart in your throat watching, here's Apollo 12's landing in a similar format, with explanations:

It sure doesn't seem like 8 minutes...more like two.
