My onward march to get all my old flight sims working continues - i have eurofighter typhoon working (by way of the steam version) however Operation Icebreaker (Eurofighter Typhoon Gold) i cannot get to work and i strongly suspect it to be due to some CD-protection feature that is no longer supported by windows10 as the program simply refuses to even attempt to start

unfortunately there are no no-cd exes online available for Eurofighter Typhoon Gold, so i am just asking if anyone here may have a no-cd version of teh typhoon.exe file

either that or if anyone nows a way i could get around the faulty cd protection for this game i would be most grateful

it works - i had to add in DGvoodoo, but it works hooray - so was this a no-cd exe? i await the day when someone makes a good emulated winxp wiht all the specs of an early 2000s computer, that will recognise the old cd protection

I think it is an exe replacement that acts as a no-cd (this way you don't have to patch anything).

Yeah, this sim can be annoying at times. I've always thought they didn't get enough development time, plus the cockpit is kind of a let down considering part of the team created EF2000, F22 ADF and TAW. The dynamic campaign and following pilots adventures are great ideas, though.
The Strategy Guide helps a lot in apprehending the flow of this sim which can definitely be an odd bird.
The most frustrating for me is the time spent roaming around and switching between pilots, specially at the start of the campaign while awaiting for a mission to pop-up.
A small advice : play in 1024x768. It is tempting to up the resolution with Dgvoodoo - and it works just fine- but in my experience this frequently generates issues with the targeting system during combat and you obviously don't want that. But you can try and see if you're luckier than me, who knows?

Did you try different audio settings in the config3dr2000.exe ? I have a french version but the panel is quite the same
