A slit trench at RAF Gravesend
This is another unfinished theatre, and thanks to Mr. Jelly for creating the beta version for 1.6

Carrier Air War sought to model the US/Japanese carrier battles of 1944 and 1945. The theatre simulates the central Pacific with the Japanese occupied Phillipines to the west, the Caroline Islands including Palau, Yap, and the main Japanese base of Truk to the South, and Japanese administered Marianas including Guam and Tinian to the west.

In between are USN and IJN carriers and task groups that enable the great final carrier battles to be simulated including the Philippine Sea and Leyte Gulf.

Using the various Pacific plane sets created by Rotton 50 many types of single missions can be created including the carrier/carrier battles and attcks on Japanese held land bases.

Credit for this theatre goes to Captain Kurt whose original concept it was and the original CAW Group included Captain Kurt, myself, Neira, Von Oben, Pilot Offcer Prune, Charles Gunst, RedEyes, Flyright, Andy, Pobs, VonBeerhofen, SagginB, Col Gibbon, Geo, Dean H, and Rotton50.

The basic map was done by Von Oben and Neira, with tile layout and target layout done by me.
