Never forget but it pains me to say that I can tell this tragic event has already began to fade into memory for the general public.

But those who know history are doomed to watch in horror as everyone else repeats it.

Watching in horror is optional you don't have to watch..By forgetting history we may allow it to happen..We learn from history and if we are lucky we won't let the bad parts happen again..Heads in the sand won't make it go away

I'm not American, but I get a shock watching an old film or somesuch and the Twin Towers come into view.
Glad to see that the 'real time' posts are archived here.

Never forget. I am concerned we as a Nation are falling asleep and letting our destruction come from within our own political system.
More and more of our elected officials are not doing anything to safeguard and uplift the USA, but rather seem to want to tear it apart, give it away and make it unpleasant to live here. Make America Great Again.

Other than dementia I don't see how anyone who was at least of adult age that day COULD ever forget - well, at least not any US resident...

I had a weird moment today - the first TV footage I saw was at a towing company I was doing a work delivery to (first knowledge was from car radio). Couldn't find anyone, they were all in an office around a TV...

I just recently got a route type of job and ended up driving by that place today, hadn't seen it maybe 2002. Weird.

Could never forget. I was a just a few miles away and felt the rumble from the Pentagon. At the time I had no idea what had happened and then caught the news on the radio.

Was watching one of the "as it happened" type programs tonight. Brought back much of the anger and grief I felt that day. Seeing the firemen heading into the towers was heart breaking. A large group were headed to the north tower even after the south tower had collapsed. They looked like men headed to certain death, the look on their faces is unforgettable. Fortunately, if the timeline was correctly preserved in what I saw, the north tower collapsed before that particular group of brave souls got to it.

God rest them and comfort those left behind.
