.....was "Do I like Kirk, or do I like Picard?"
As the lyric from "White & Nerdy" by “Weird Al” Yankovic states, who do you prefer?
"In the vast library of socialist books, there’s not a single volume on how to create wealth, only how to take and “redistribute” it.” - David Horowitz

Hmm. I think I'm a victim of imprinting. I watched Kirk in the early 70s and Picard when I was already in the air force. I like them both, but when called out I have to go old-school. I prefer the newer Enterprise though. Perhaps the nerdiest thing I own is a complete set of blueprints of the Galaxy class, every level detailed down to every room & its contents, everything. Yes, Jeffries tubes included Comes in a nice big black box.

Dr. Who is dead. They killed him. (save that discussion for pwec) BUT Khai is right. Tom Baker, easy. I really liked Eccleston, too, and Tennant grew on me, and Capaldi was pretty good.

Sure, Tom Baker easy. Dr. Who is dead. They killed him. (save that discussion for pwec) Dr Who stopped for me a long time before, basically when I stopped being about 14 I don't really get all the recent hate though.

Me either. Dr. Who is an alien right? So what does it matter if it takes the form of a human male or human female?

That is a discussion for PWEC, not here. This article makes good points, however: https://medium.com/brainstorminglin...ully-represented-doctor-who-543c3bf72700

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck.” -Robert Heinlein

I voted for Kirk over Picard mostly due to watching the OG first but I enjoyed the later ST series as well.
My favorite Dr. was Christopher Eccleston.

I do have to say that if Malcolm Reynolds were a Starfleet captain he would "out-Kirk" Kirk.
