I did yes. I keep meaning to get some pictures taken, but never get round to it. I'll see what I can do this weekend.

cheers

Thanks kaa. That test pilot had large brass ones.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

That seat position would have been hell to eject from... glad that test pilot made it out.

Thanks for that video, I don't think I came across it during the build. VTOL aircraft are a fascination for me, especially the weird ideas that were come up with to make it work. Not surprisingly the simplest, and most elegant solution was the only successful one, ie, Harrier.

I've put a little photo box in the shed so I can take a better record of builds, as I have a 'once in a lifetime' kit hitting the bench soon. I've tested it out taking some photos of one of the stupidest ideas for an aircraft I think I've ever seen! (The close ups don't flatter the build quality of this, but I'm just glad I managed to finish it, and it really was one my most fun and satisfying builds.)

Retro maaaaaan! Looks like it should be on an old school science fiction cover with some chick with big bumps in a spacesuit. Cool build mate, although i think the lettering says it all..Y biggrin
