Posted in both forums..

Hi Guys,

Work continues on the next updates for both WOTR and WOFF.

WOFF's next version will be an add-on which currently has around 44 new features and improvements not counting many great aircraft improvements (details will be revealed at another time).

We are also creating some very nice changes to WOTR - currently around 22 changes of work in progress too. Most of the changes are around improving the immersion more, and focussed on the campaign, QC, and the player squadron itself. Flights, numbers, formations and more are being revised to produce more authentic situations. We hope to reveal more soon, but we are not standing still!

To both, we are adding some improved damage situations - one example includes the pilot bleeding out to both sims, and a great improvement by AnKor over the way clouds were handled to stop a lot of the straight line cloud flickering sometimes seen. As long as testing goes OK these should be good smile

It's confusing for us working on both so don't be surprised if you find a Camel lined up next to your Spitfire one day. wink

I am extremely excited about this Add-on. 44 new features and improvements, not including many great aircraft improvements?
Improved damage situations including pilot bleed out?
and improvements to cloud popping issues?

All sounds like exciting times ahead in the skies over WWI and WWII. Greatly looking forward to details and screenshots when it becomes appropriate to release some teasers. My credit card is locked and loaded.

Kudos to Winder and Pol for keeping the Dreams alive.

AnKor is my hero. Flickering straight edges on the clouds was the first thing that ever irritated me about WOFF. I can't quite believe it might finally be fixed!!!

Intriguing stuff gents' - and pleased to hear that there is continued development on WOFFue. I look forward to picking up the WOFFue addon, and eventually WOTR too once I find more room on the hard drive.

Happy flying,
Von S

UPDATE 02/10/2019 :

The next WOFF coming soon now has a name. Of course it's hard to top the Ultimate Edition with a name - however as this will polish, and expand the look and feel and immersion of WOFF UE,
we have called it "WOFF Platinum Edition" ("Wings Over Flanders Fields Platinum Edition" in full).

It will be an expansion for WOFF UE. We will let you know the cost shortly.

Over 45 changes and improvements not counting the vast number of aircraft upgrades. Some examples....

The big change is some dramatic improvements to the campaign immersion, from the campaign info and controls in the WOFF manager, to the world environment that will come alive more and you will see more activity.

New progressive damage, worsening engine damage from leaks, together with improved visuals.

Your pilot can now bleed out! If wounded and you are bleeding land at a field as soon as possible so you can exit or you may bleed out.

New scenery improvements,

New outcomes rules for over enemy lines for you and your AI flight members,

The player can now edit waypoints in the mission briefing screen.

Around 60 aircraft have been updated (the fighters) and they will have new guns including animated gun levers, moving bullet belts etc. Includes other improvements.

Improvements to the DirectX Shaders (thanks AnKor!) - clouds render improvement; Cloud edge clipping in cockpit view eliminated.

and much more...

Bleeding out eh?... that will be interesting.
If you have a catastrophic bleed, (major artery severed) you will have roughly 5 mins for the average person before end ex... better find that field quick!
