Someone can tell me if MMJOY works in LINUX O.S. as it does in windows?

@Snagov

The configuration/installation must be done under Windows. Once you have the firmware installed and the device is configured you can use it in any OS that recognize USB standards.. For example I tried it even in an Android phone and it was recognized and worked.

Hey guys, first time posting here after a loooong time reading (almost) everything. I really want to make my own button box with MMJoy2, but I can't really get started. Im planning on using Debolestis shift register boards for the final box (already have the pcbs, only need some 4021's), but until I get everything I need i wanted to try out the software first.
So I started with the simplest thing: Connecting a single button to my leonardo following the instructions from the wiki

[Linked Image]

My resulting setup looks like this:

[Linked Image]

and my setup in MMJoy2:

[Linked Image]

I am a bit confused with the buttons and rows for my 1 button matrix, but even when I switch the pins from D2 to D3 and vice versa the button does not work. I am pretty sure it's just me being dumb and not understanding something fundamental, but I have no clue what I am doing wrong and you guys are my last hope.

Thanks so much in advance!

You have: "Used axis 0, buttons 0". So all are OK. smile

You have set a "physical" button (hardware), the 1x1 matrix (D2, D3) - what looks OK, unless Leonardo use different pinout, but have not set this "physical" button as "logical" button (what Windows/games see).

In right side of MMJoySetup define:

Joystick Button 1 = H/W. button 1 (could by any number, but you have only #1), by click over ..... and select in drop down men, leave the other fields (mode...) as is for now.

Set and then hit "Save settings to device".

@Finnsky Hello

I think you missed an step. When you save the profile to the device and it has restarted you need to select it again from the device list and reload "Load sets from device". Once you've done that and the device icon turns blue, you check if the physical input recognizes the button actions. Then you need to assign that physical button to a logical output button. That will be the number of the button that the OS will receive.

You guys are great, thank you so much! Now everything works just the way i want it! Now I only need to wait for my shift registers, learn how to wire all the different kind of switches and toggles (2-way, 3-way and so on, does anyone know a good resource for that?) and I can finally build my own button box! You guys rock!

mmm 2 way, 3 way switchs are just normal buttons... no secrets with them... about encoder I don't use them so I can't say much about them.

Not spefically in Arduino PRO Micro+MMjoy2, but give you a idea about buttons, switches and encoders, in the case using 6x6 matrix.

So I built my own collective using bodnarboard and it is working good, but it is not finished and I have this crazy idea of instead of finishing it, start new one from scratch. So I want to know if it would be possible to interface Virpil grip with diy controller like for example using mmJoy2. I want to use a left handed grip and use it for a collective, but I want to know which diy controller I can interface it.

I have a problem, first I'm new to MMjoy2 and Arduino pro micro

I can't upload the firmware

[Linked Image]

And is it normal to have 3 red light on the Pro micro?

[Linked Image]

Edit:EDIT: Got it figured out, my mistake, com port changes when you touch together the Gnd and Rst so now I have one led lit up on the pro micro

I don't remember the last time I used my head that much

Hi to all. long time passed since my last post. I am building an H shifter using mmjoy an i was wondering if it would be possible to map more than 4 buttons fom axis. If yes how? Thanks in advance.

No, just 2 bands per axis, so 2 buttons.

I have not tried, but read that FreeJoy - for SMTP32 allow up 10 bands (buttons) per axis:

https://github.com/vostrenkov/FreeJoy

V 1.01 "Added the function of converting axes to buttons (up to 10 buttons per axis)"

Need some help on this one. Cant figure this out.

Im rebuilding my old x52 throttle and all works great except one thing.
The x52 has a mouse wheel like scroll on it. Looking at it I assumed its just an encoder wheel on a circuit board with the ability to also push down button.I have the push down button working fine.
For the scroll function I cut all the circuit board traces, cut original wires and used the 3 solder points the encoder wheel connect to the board with.

Now the issue.
The wheel has a notch feel to it each time you turn it which is normal but if I turn it one notch mmjoy doesnt show any button presses and all other buttons act normal. Scroll one more notch and now the 2 encoder buttons show pressed as if Im holding the button down but also any other buttons connected in that same matrix line show as 2 button presses until I turn the wheel one more notch then back to normal.

The wheel encoder only has 3 solder points so I assumed 1 is for the diode ROW and the other 2 are for the Column buttons in the matrix, but as mentioned above I get those results.

Any ideas on how to remedy this?

This is my project.
This was the silver colored x52. Only buttons I kept original were the 8 way finger hat and mouse wheel.
Added a new slide pot,Rotary encoder on top,CH Products hat, thumb joystick, a few extra buttons, 2 more axis pots and couple toggles.
This was just extra parts I had lying around from other projects.

Repainted properly, redid the rubber coating for the palm rest.

NVM.
Looks like I got it fixed. Not sure what was happening but something bugged out in MMJOY I guess.
I reloaded my "Sets" to the Micro several times and now the wheel encoder seems to be working as it should.
Weird.
