I have never had a conversation with a serious, commited flat-earther. The idea that anyone could not get on a ship and see, for themselves, how tall objects can be seen over the g-d horizon makes my mind rebel. Going into space is not remotely needed to at least inject some kind of logic that would deflate the crackpot theory that the Earth is in some way flat.I honestly do not know if I could coherently discuss the matter with a real and serious no-fooling flat-earther.
I feel that either I would either begin to lose my mind if I were to talk to one, or to humor them in the hopes that I could swindle him or her, since they are obviously looking for ways to fool themselves irrationally. Don't do it, you'll just walk away exasperated. People with those beliefs have no end of explanations and just sweep reality under the carpet faster than you can say lizard people. You know a lot of them also believe that atomic bombs and their successors also aren't real? They say they are just a bigger normal bombs. The rabbit hole they live in is frighteningly huge.

Do these flat earthers ever fly?
There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Do these flat earthers ever fly? They have amazing explanations for the visual curvature of the earth. None of them make sense but they stick by them.

You can see it from any ocean coast. The curve is apparent when trying to see a ocean vessel more than about 12 miles out. At 100 miles the vessel is not visible no matter how it is.

they'd say that was the effect of tides at the coast. In a ship you could have all landmarks recede and then come into view. As I recall, the horizon is (if waves would permit) 7 miles away if you are at sea level
