Revolutions? How about the one hour slog of pointless crap of an opening that Reloaded was?
The Matrix was perfect.
Reloaded was me scratching my head wondering what happened.
Revolutions was a dream I never had because I refused to go to bed.
I still haven't seen Revolutions and don't miss it. So unless they can atone for the abortion the latter two films were, I see no chance in a fourth. Perhaps, maybe, if they wrapped the latter two around the premise they were a dream within the Matrix and never happened, that something drastic had happened at the end of the first, or immediately thereafter, that incapacitated Neo and his team to the point he was trapped in some hallucinatory psychosis, maybe then they could delete those plot threads and give us the real truth, reality, and ending of the Matrix franchise the first's story deserved.
But that will require some #%&*$# good writing, and writers of that caliber in Hollywood are in short supply. Too much "safe" and not enough "bold and daring" these days.
