For those of you who have Netflix, there is a movie called "Mission of Honor" about the Polish pilot contribution during the Battle of Britain. I found it enjoyable but someone with more historical knowledge would need to take a more discerning look for it's accuracy.

Thanks I'll check it out.
A very good book about the Polish airmen's contribution to the allied cause is 'The Forgotten Few - The Polish Air Force In World War II' by Adam Zamoyski. Well worth reading.
Edit - 'Mission of Honor' seems to be the same film as 'Hurricane' made in 2018 which I have seen.. There is also another recent film about the Polish airmen in the Battle of Britain: 'Dywizjon 303'. There is an interesting comparison of the two films here:
Always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Elie Wiesel. Romanian born Jewish writer, professor, political activist, Nobel Laureate, Holocaust survivor. 1928 - 2016.
Indeed the safest road to Hell is the gradual one - the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts. C.S. Lewis, 1898 - 1963.
Just to add there's also another film that came out recently called 303 Squadron (again pretty similar to "Hurricane" - odd that ). Another WW2 air combat film "Lancaster Skies" is out which may have some interesting moments I hope.
I watched "Lancaster Skies", not a lot of flying. The main character (very dour quiet guy) doesn't get to fly his Lancaster until about 3/4 of the way through the film! The whole film seems like there were people next door asleep so the film crew had to make sure not too much noise was made or too much excitement -hard to explain but it all feels subdued. I want it to be good so we get more .. but I was disappointed as it focussed more on the one crew's relationship with the new skipper.
