3.8k in one trip? My wife's car doesn't do that in a year! Motoring not really a pleasure in England anymore....saying this after being stuck on Tower Bridge Road in London for 40 minutes, witnessing Beemer drivers pushing in aggressively and road rage. Took an alternative route eventually which incurred £23 worth of ULEZ and Congestion zone charge.

One of the biggest misconceptions many Americans have about Europe is that it is assumed traffic congestion is at a minimum because almost everyone uses public transit, walks or ride bicycles!

That is one hell of a push...

If AC acting up on the last leg was the biggest problem you sure got lucky...

Leaving Reading to the west of London on a Friday afternoon at about 3pm and hoping to get to Folkestone for the channel tunnel for around 9pm if I was lucky, much, much, later was the norm the distance was around 110 miles but the traffic was diabolical, the M25 ring road round London is still Europe's largest carpark on a Friday.

Heading back to London from Belgium on a Sunday the traffic queuing from the coast towards Brussels stretched from the border with France and right past Brussels, a distance of about 70 miles or so, I was so glad I was going in the opposite direction.

Congrats Jim. If A/C was the only problem on a nearly 4000 mile trip then you did very well. Glad to hear that you are home safe and sound.
