Before you tell someone to walk a mile in your shoes remember that you'll have to walk a mile barefoot to get them back.

When they say “next exit” don’t they really mean “this exit” ? Next exit would mean the one after this one. Unless you are not near anywhere near the exit; then the next exit would be correct.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

The reason the rice krispies stuck to the edge of the bowl dry out first is because they are closer to the sun.
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck.” -Robert Heinlein

How does an Amish girl know if it is a romantic candle lit dinner, or just regular dinner? The Amish don’t do “romance”.

I saw a sign that said "Put litter in it's place," so I threw my cigarette butt on the ground. Otherwise it wouldn't be litter.

Before you tell someone to walk a mile in your shoes remember that you'll have to walk a mile barefoot to get them back. Meh. He's not wearing his. You walk barefoot. I'll put on the empty shoes. But a profound thought is "No matter where you go, there you are".
What kind of car is that? What does it matter? When I drive it, I'm Steve McQueen

Decided I'm not going to my doctor anymore. I found out the mortality rate for his patients is 100%.

Why does a woman have to keep getting "permanents" applied to her hair?
