Apologies if this has been posted, but I didn't see anything. I hadn't heard of this until I saw this video. Looks kind of interesting, and at least it's not a reboot, or based on a comic (as far as I know)

It looks interesting to me. I like that the trailer is sparse on info about the story so it doesn’t spoil it.

Not sure how well this will do at the box office when you consider the recent Neil Armstrong flop starring Ryan Gosling.

True, but that was "historical," whereas this is science fiction, so it might have a different appeal. I'm not sure Brad Pitt is the same box-office draw he use to be, either.

Yeah, that is a good point. "Interstellar" did great at the box office but that was done by Chris Nolan. He's not a mere mortal like the rest of us. biggrin

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

I tried watching First Man. Had to turn it off. How one manages to take probably the most interesting scienticic accomplishment in our history and make such a dull movie is beyond me!

I liked it, but I suppose it's a question of expectations. It was a biopic about Armstrong himself, and I found it interesting in that there were things I had no idea about; there's still The Right Stuff, Apollo 11, and Apollo 13 I suppose.
