France, Canada and the US all have their national holidays in July. Coincidence? Why does Canada celebrate on July 1st? A federal statutory holiday, it celebrates the anniversary of July 1, 1867, the effective date of the Constitution Act, 1867 (then called the British North America Act, 1867), which united the three separate colonies of the Province of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick into a single Dominion within the British ... Anyway, Happy Birthday USA.

Possibly cause they can spell.... Happy Birthday America...well in a couple of hours here. I'd love to see a poll asking young Americans what happened on the 4th of July, in what year, and why it's so significant. Hmmm... am in a good mood, maybe I'd rather not see the results of that poll.

A tad early, but on behalf of the United States of America, thanx.
Don't worry, I'll pass it on.
SALUTE TO ALL!

Happy birthday to our previous colony! I often wonder what the US would be like if it remained a Dominion like Canada. Just read an article about 'Calming the Canines' in which volunteers sit with shelter dogs to help them remain settled through the travail of celebratory fireworks, which is nice.

Happy Independence Day !
I hope everyone has a great day. And to my fellow Americans, pause and give some deep thoughts to the founding of our country.
And thanks for the Birthday greetings. My father and mother had me convinced as a child that all the celebrating and fireworks were for me. Quite a let down when I found it wasn’t so. But age and knowledge let me know it was even better.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.
