For those around SE Michigan that want to see a B29 in real life, 'FIFI' will be at the Oakland/Pontiac airfield the first week of July. She will be flying in around noon on Monday, with tours and rides starting on Wednesday.

The airfield is located roughly an hours drive North of Detroit, in Waterford Mi. Normal flight patterns will have her approaching over Airport Rd and taking off over Williams Lake Rd. There is a hanger for lease on Airport Rd, that you could park and walk outside the fence line to the end of the runway. Boaters on Pontiac lake will have a nice view of the takeoff. She will be on display near the tower when not flying.

Note:
The I75 / M59 ramps are closed for construction. It may be easier to use Telegraph or Woodward if coming from the South.

It is a beautiful aircraft. I was inside her a few years ago.

And if you happen to be on the other side of the state, like I'll be over the 4th.

Not as big as it used to be (no Thunderbirds or Angels this year), but an F-22 demo!
