Thanks for the info. I assume this will just be auto-downloaded via the Steam workshop when the ArmA launcher is started or do we have to do anything manually?

edit: Oh wait, this is one of the official DLC's so it should just auto-update when the Steam client is launched.

yes, it should autodownload. for me, sometimes steam fails to download an update immediately and schedules it. it could be scheduled days away.

Ok, I got it. It was a big download indeed but it took less than 10 minutes to complete the download and updating.

I have a late international phone conference from 7-8PM today. I'll try to be there as soon as possible. It will probably run over, as those things usually do.

Thanks for playing tonight.

After the session and I went back into the last mission files and removed that BS big tower and changes the compound. I also think I fixed that trigger that prevented the end of the mission. In the event we play the mission again, I think it will be more enjoyable.

Sooo, prof, panzer, meat.and I got the new DLC.

Gin, did you get it or plan to get it?

Meat, could you advise if you'll be setting up the DLC on the server and do you think you'll get it done by Monday?

Thanks

Quick question.... I just got the the DLC but haven't played ARMA in a few years so I don't know anyone for MP. Do you all just let any riffraff join in? I don't play MP except for HUNT and before that was just VBS for work. I'd even play OPFOR just to play the DLC smile

You are definitely welcome to join us but we use several required mods for the Military Monday sessions. Just check out the main sticky thread for info on the mods and how to install them.

Just a heads up, we went in on the major DLCs. You'll need.the mods as Panzer mentioned, but the Apex, Global Mobilization and Contact DLCs too.. Along with PF, of course. Good news if you dont already have them is that they are heavily discounted right now on Steam.

Right then.

I've created two new missions using the PF DLC. Hopefully everthing works out okay. I may or may not have time to make another mission before the session.

Currently the server is set up with the DLC and is turned on. I would suggest logging in sometime before the session, and try loading a PF mission or mine to see if things work.

Just a heads up, you might want to start Steam early, RHS just had a version update today. The server won't be updated, but it might affect you if you have to download before joining the server.

I made two more Vietnam missions today. So, we'll have 3 new ones to play tomorrow. These are using stock Prairie Fire assets, so if anybody wants to join and only has Prairie Fire at the moment, come join us.

I am hoping to start at 7:50. I'm really hoping to squeeze in all 3 missions.

There are so many epic locations. I gets kind of frustrating that I can't make and play more missions.

Two new missions for Monday. They're set in Vietnam.

First mission is to clear a VC village on a hill overlooking a strategic river that US forces use.
Second mission is to clear a North Vietnamese attack boat base on an island off the mainland and to destroy the attack boats.

These missions use stock Prairie Fire assets, so if you have A3 and Prairie Fire, you can come and play.

I've attached a couple of preview screenshots.
