Hi

Unsure if this has ben reported but when you look to the rear of the SE5 the fuselage is holed behind the pilots headrest, it reminds me of the holes in the planes of IL2 when the game first started being modded

Hi can you post a small pic ?

It's the SE5 only? Not Se5a/Viper.

Hi

I am a bit pc illiterate as far as pictures go however the SE5A is fine, but the Viper has the same missing texture issues similar to the SE5

OK. I checked the Viper and can't see any holes, but you say missing texture now? I am confused.
Can you describe the area where you are looking and what exactly you see?

edit: I can see a couple of small light/shiny areas if you crouch down and look up under the back combing and look towards the port side - is that what you mean?

HI

I am using mouse view to look around in the cockpit, I turn my view to the tail of the SE5 or the Viper and look down a little bit and If I am parked on an airfield I can see the grass through the fuselage model.

So if the front of the plane is North I am turn my head South and lookin down slightly. On the SE5a model everything is solid and the headrest design is fully represented. The SE5 and the viper do not appear to be fully formed.

This is only occurring when I use the mouse view function to look around

It could be my graphics card, don't know, I am running a Nvidia 27000.

I haven't noticed these issues with any other plane models so far

I think it is the problem of mouse look which was implemented long after all aircraft models were done.

Mouse look not only rotates the pilot's head, but also moves it, so when you look left or right the head also moves to the left or right. It looks natural and makes it possible to lean over the side of the cockpit to look down.
However when you look behind the head position also shifts towards the tail of the airplane, this is not very useful, but just a side effect. I guess on some models it can get too close or even inside the pilot's seat or fuselage.
That's why you may see "holes".
But it is just a guess, can't test it right now.

Maybe the default head position should be moved forward, or rather the mouse look should be updated so it doesn't move the head backward too much.

Ah that could be it. Yes you can look "through" parts in some craft if you move your head too far. TrackIR is best for looking around.

I'm not sure I can easily fix it to work with mouse look without constructing internal parts to hide that.
