I remember when I was a moderator here, he and I spoke on the phone often. I recall that Tom didn’t like a lot of drama and genuinely sought out the good in people. I remember once my wife and father in law were in Tucson for a gem and mineral show and they ran into some trouble. Tom’s son was a Pima County sheriffs deputy and he rode to the rescue for people his dad had only spoken to on the phone. That was just who Tom was. He loved his family, especially his wife, (I believe her name is Becky, if I recall correctly) fiercely.
God bless his family. Where Tom is now, there isn’t any pain or suffering. We will miss you, sir. Until we see you again.

It is always sad to see these threads come up but it also brings on memories of the departed, thanks to those who share those memories.
Rest in Peace Tom "20mm" and thoughts and prayers to your family going forward in their lives.

Rip mate, we had a couple of good yaks and his humour reminded me of my old man. A stalwart of SimHQ and his family i'm sure. Very sad news. The previous year, before I was even a twinkle in the eye of SimHQ’s Staff, I had won a site contest and these items were the Grand Prize. I couldn’t believe it at the time, I had never won anything worthwhile in my entire life. Two weeks later, a box direct from SimHQ’s palatial high-rise headquarters arrived with my name on it. Yippee!! I won, I won, I won, my major award at last! I think it even had the word “Fragile” stamped on the outside (that’s Italian, you know). Taken from Toms write up, My First Pc Miss the days when SimHQ had so much more content and people like Tom writing them up. Good times and good people.

RIP Tom
A huge loss to the community, always a great conversationalist. Clear Skies always my friend.
Threads such as these always remind me of how truly fragile life really is......
Kindest regards,
AJ
