I've always liked John Schneider. Seems like a down to earth man and appreciative of what he does and good to his fans. Found this on Youtube today, something he did for a birthday celebration. I liked his comment about not having to disappoint kids from 6 to 60 anymore because he has now officially made a jump. I guess its technically a replica Charger body on a different chassis but what a great little event. I'm ready for an open world Dukes of Hazzard game!

I don't know if this is from the same time but I liked this video too. Even with a few more years on him and the car higher off the ground, Bo Duke can still get into the General Lee.

I've also been a fan of John Schneider's singing since I discovered it in around 2000. He's a good singer.

Gotta like John! Growing up watching Dukes and then Knight Rider...it was bound to result in trouble when I got my license. LOL
He was also great on Smallville, and the show tanked when his character was killed off (per the usual story).

Yeah he was a great Jonathan Kent. My folks liked that show. I think he made it for me though as I couldn't identify with the younger characters really but I could with his character on that show as a salt of the earth kind of person. I always appreciate Annette O'Toole too.

Very cool. I also loved watching the Dukes growing up.

John is currently a local celebrity in these parts.

Gives way and suddenly it’s day again
The sun is in the east
Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset, hmph

It's interesting to think just how massively politically incorrect the show would be now. Times change indeed.

"Perfect" jump? Hardly. the right side of the car completely missed the down ramp, which is what caused the damage KRT_Bong mentioned. But being willing to do that when you're older and don't take the punishment, or recover from it, as well deserves respect.

Same thing applies for the second video. He was much younger, thinner, and more agile when he used to do that. Plus, yeah, that car was several inches above his takeoff point and the roll cage had the front seat way forward of where he was, at one time, used to.

As for the third video, I could be wrong, but that looks like The Cowboy Palace (formerly JR's Cowboy Palace) on Devonshire Street in Chatsworth, CA. A couple of fun facts:
Until the early 90's you could get a table in there almost any time. Mostly because the 'regular crowd' was a handful of stunt people (including one guy who would hit the dance floor in his wheelchair), and the bikers who were waiting for their girl friends to get off work from the nearby Candy Cat strip joint.
They used to have a hitching post out the back door and it was not unusual to see a few horses tied up there on a Friday or Saturday night.
And my favorite one, it's where I met my late wife on February 10, 1990.

SALUTE TO ALL!

They said every time they jumped a Charger, it killed it. No doubt much more than a tie rod broken. LOL

The only thing that has changed is that most people these days are all a bunch of " feely, oversensitive wussies " that want to gang up on twitter and bully people into thinking what happened or was acceptable in the past is wrong. LOL , I hate that stupid word "bully" but when speaking of twitter it applies so well, they aren't mean or tough or violent, no there internet bullys that will put you in the PC hospital with there words, but if you were face to face with them and in an actual confrontation, they would just $h!+ their pants. Being PC is Politically Incorrect, it is against our natural instincts. Unfortunately all people have biases, racist thoughts and don't like some of the things that happened in the past, get over it. Snuff out the truly evil stuff and get on with life understanding that you won't get along with everyone all the time. Being PC is a bunch Horse $h!+! . Nothing against you PM, but there is no reason that show should be PIC now. Why because they have sexy girls in it, they have a Rebel Flag on top of the car or they portray the police as blundering idiots? I don't think I ever watched 1 full episode because I thought it was stupid, but people loved it. So be it. Please explain to me why it should be considered PIC now if they re-released it? Is it just the Confederate Flag? Please enlighten me? Again, nothing personal PM, but the whole,"everyone should bury their heads in the sand be PC" really strikes a nerve. Anyway rant-on-off

I agree 100% with your post Blade and yes, it would be politically incorrect today for just simply showing the Confederate flag on a car. That's all it takes these days to raise a ruckus.
