Hello!

I noticed that a lot of DCS pilots still do straight-in landings and I believe they're missing out, as joining the pattern with an overhead break is so much fun.

So I made a tutorial about the so-called overhead break or maneuver (initial and pitch approach), available here:

https://youtu.be/WxwtRTWfeE4

I'd be grateful to have your feedback so that I can make better tutorials in the near future.

Thanks!

Steinsch

The overhead break is one of the fastest ways of landing aircraft, in particular large numbers of aircraft. This is a good demo for landing a single aircraft, I like your precision smile

Nicely done, with fantastic VFR cues for those new to the move. Welcome to this group, and thanks for your contribution of knowledge.

Way over in Perth, Western Aus...
Nice video - you are very precise - do you use WH stick? And with curves added?

Thank you! No, I broke my WH trying to get rid of its "sticky" effect. Still crying about that...
I'm now quite happy with the X-56 with the weakest spring. Curves are set to 20 for X and Y axes.

Still do this on Il-2, doing this as I hit a F-14 on landing despite LO saying runway clear.
