Sorry that the Hound got killed but at least he took the zombie brother down. Arya may have a part to play yet.
Jamie and Cersei together at the end was fitting ...if not quite satisfying
GRRW has said publicly that the show and the books arrive at the basically the same end point and that it will be "bittersweet". I don't think Dany will ever be queen of the seven kingdoms.

Nope. I am 99% certain that what she did will have very negative consequences for her. She will not be in power for long.

The question is has she lost it and decided to rule through fear, or is she setting the stage for Jon to earn the love of the south, who doesn’t know him and love him like the north. Has she set him up to have to kill her or will she go back overseas? Her main point is to end tyrants, but she isn’t a good long term ruler. She’s done her thing now, but if she stays she’d be the biggest tyrant yet. IMO she prefers it where she came from now that she’s here and will go back to what’s his name she left there. Think she’s got Jon’s baby in the works?

Those are some good questions RK. We'll find out next week what happens!

Well, after watching this episode, I'm bummed. Probably mostly because I was pulling for Daenrys all these years, and then she disappointed me. Not that I didn't see it coming in the last few episodes. I welcomed the change in plot. Just that her down fall was sad. I felt bad for the Spider too. And Tyrion. And Jon...well everyone, especially the people of Kings Landing. But I thought it was a good episode overall. Again, statistically speaking, the next to last episode seems to always be the best of the season.
I thought Jaime and Cersei were fitting and correct. I would have preferred to see the Hound just knock the Mountain over the edge and that's it. Euron ended up the way I figured he would, in his arrogant way--so that was good. Turned out he was wrong anyway after all
How will it end? I think Jon will be forced to kill Daenrys. But the end could happen in many ways...

Will she attack Jon with dragon fire, and he stands up with burning sword in hand killing Dany (and Drogon)? Azor Ahai reborn!

Or the dragon could refuse to attack him, but I doubt it will come to that. I think it will die or return overseas with her...or be released to go off to search for others. They may decide they have to kill it to deal with her, I suppose. Tyrion may have to rechain it.
Yes she wiped out King's Landing - the central throne for the Seven Kingdoms, the sheer symbol of nobility and feudalism (ie slavery) on the continent. THis is what happens to those who oppose the freedom of all people.
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Just a thought
This is not your normal fantasy, after all. Anything is on the table.

Everything has turned to **** and nothing planned turned out the way they thought. Except maybe Sandor's. Daenerys's vision from several seasons ago seems to have come to pass. I don't know why she rained hell onto civilians and not go straight for the keep, but hey-ho. Mad is mad.
Just stumbled onto this. Very funny, especially Varys IMO
Will help to bring a smile to those who are currently disappointed anyway...

I'm sure a lot of the Danaerys fan boys are feeling butthurt knowing that their queen turned out to be a psychotic with a messiah complex.

Still a good chance she’s pulling a “Dark Knight” move. A very severe one.
Alexa thinks that Sansa will be the next queen and Arya will be her Hand.

Nah. Arya is going to do a Frodo and disappear over the western sea.

Arya may go off the Faceless Man and take over that operation, then keep tabs on everyone. Lots of people need killin’ out there. Sansa, queen of the north, reunited with Tyrion, Brienne her knight....Jon sits sadly on the Iron Throne with Sam as his Hand. Wildlings take over The Watch, in the real north, but without the usual conditions. Who knows what else could be going on up there?

Lots of fascinating speculation going on here.
I assume this series finale episode will be at least 90 minutes.

I would have thought Sam becomes Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. But then again, the question is whether there is still need for the Watch, with no enemies left. Instead, the Watch will be dissolved, the surviving members pardoned and freed from their vows, and Sam can marry Gilly and be happy ever after. Sam as Hand to Jon, I could see that, yepp. But then again, we had the farewell already, so I'm not sure we will see Sam in the final episode. I already speculated earlier that the Faceless Man might still come for Arya, but I doubt it... Apart from the obvious open main characters, I am also interested how Ser Bronn's story ends - earlier speculated that he might still kill Tyrion, but now with the benefactor of such a deed gone, I don't see why he would do so...

Good observations WhoCares. You are absolutely right that with both Cersei and Jamie dead there is zero reason for Bronn to kill Tyrion.
