I'm not married, thank God, but am faced with a situation where the fiancé officially broke up with me but still spends time with me out of spite and to frustrate attempts to find someone else, because #WomenLogic.

Crane Hunter, take control and get her out of your life completely. You will have a difficult time meeting "the one" as long as she lingers in your life. Some women refuse too completely let go, they still want to have some power over you. They want to know you will come running back. Take that power away from her.

I would have gave her the boot a long time ago, but she's my oldest friend, here's we are as babies circa 1979...
...and there are some colorful characters in her family that would react badly if I ditched her.

Wow, that sucks. I used to play with my wife at 3-4 years of age (1970-71...mom was Avon lady and would visit her mom, she was told to play nice with the boy and she could pick something out from the book). Wish I had a pic of that. There were other meetings over the years (our aunts were best friends) but we didn't really know each other until HS. I didn't even know who it was I was chasing at my new school until my aunt told me.
