That's hysterical. Should be a great series. I wonder if the Canes will be flat from the long delay.

I hope not. I'm all in board with Carolina.

I'm rooting for Rod Brind'amour. Great hockey player, but mostly because he played for the MSU Spartans ! LOL.

A St. Louis vs. Carolina series would be cool. I know the NHL, NBC, and Bettman wouldn't like it very much, But who cares.

My stance has become anyone but Marchand.
Unfortunately Boston looks tough to beat.

they didn't look good in the 2nd and the Canes did, they were flying. Then in the 3rd Boston got some marginal calls on Hamilton and made both PP hurt.

going to be a good series

I really hate to see the outcome of any game be affected by the referee's. I would say the first Hamilton penalty was marginal, the second was just bad. Ticky - tac at best. It had a major influence on the outcome. Both teams were playing well, and momentum was changing back and forth like any good game. Then those calls came, and the game was decided.

I know it sounds like I am blaming the loss on the refs, but the game could have gone either way if that crew had not made those calls.

I hope the series will be decided by the better team. Nothing else.

I had the TV on in a different room listening to SJ/STL and from what I heard the hand pass not being called and non reviewable was a joke....

Hopefully the Bruin's can sweep the Canes tonight and rest up.

St. Louis better change goalies if the what to have a shred of hope of winning this series. San Jose doesn't belong in the final. They have been a lucky team the whole way.

That being said, Boston will sweep either team. I have always liked any original six team, so I will have to just let my dislike of Marchant go. I cannot root for California hockey. biggrin

He only started 45 games this year. It looks like The Bruins were wise to get Halak as very competent backup. The Bruins did not over work Rask the past season. Now it is paying off.
I've kind of lost interest in the playoffs, I've discovered pole vaulting to be a great spectator sport.

The playoffs seem a little boring this year (except the first round). Iv'e been watching a little of the IIHF tournament. It's cool to see some different teams in there (Italy, Great Britain, France. etc.) I may just have to get me an Italy jersey. Of course, there are lots of first round blowouts.

This is the time of year I start preparing for hockey "withdrawal". biggrin

Maybe some wholesome women's pole vaulting will help. Thank's for idea WT. cheers

Don't let the wife catch you all with the vaulter using your pole. neaner

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

I see they are finally starting the Cup finals tonight. Does anybody still even care about it? I mean, it has been so long that nobody is paying attention anymore. American television has screwed it up again. It should have been over by now. Oh, well. Go Blues, I guess.

The delay is ridiculous. San Jose was knocked out on the 21st. TD Garden has had no events scheduled since May 13th. It should have started at least 4 days ago.

Had to dig to resurrect this thread. Gotta say, glad to see Boston lose, and the game winner being a "controversial call".
The Bruins have had so many calls go their way this post season, it's laughable to hear their fan whine about reffing.
Hope to see St. Louis win in their barn Sunday. They have earned it.

Karma is a witch. There were a few missed calls in this game. Marchand "can-openered" Binnington from behind, and there was no call. Both teams got away with a lot. I do like it when the refs swallows their whistles though. The Bruins seems to be running out of energy. Teams that have had long waits after sweeps have not done so well this year. Major respect for Chara playing with a broken jaw. His face looked swollen and he looked like he was in a great deal of pain.Blues better win game six. The Bruins don't lose game sevens at home.
