These United States of America
I just had this pop up on my Youtube. The quality of the footage is excellent and there are some really great perspective shots of cat launches and traps. I'm also intrigued that its narrated by Burl Ives. I like Burl's music and naval aviation so this catches me really by surprise and I'm curious to know more about it. Does anyone know if this was a documentary or from a movie? The Youtuber states that its from a film "Flying Clipper" 1962. All I get from searches is a German movie by that name about a sailing ship. This looks like a documentary type production, perhaps a promotional Navy thing but I'd love to see the whole film judging by this short clip's quality. Love seeing all these great planes from that era. It seems to be filmed really well too. Just the opening shot across the ocean is great along with the dramatic music.

Ah okay, thanks CyBerkut! So it is centered around that sailing ship. Searches were saying its also titled "Mediterranean Holiday". Your first link though defines exactly what it is so thank you, mystery solved. Just in terms of a travelogue combined with that excellent film quality and color would make that an interesting purchase and watch. I'm guessing the carrier segment isn't that long but even still, the quality of film and the kind of shots they got are pretty amazing.
