So like I mentioned in the Star Wars Canyon thread, I spent 3 days outside of Nellis for Red Flag, they were also having a Green Flag in the mornings with RAF Typhoons and Draken's L-159's and A-4's. As I edit more shots I'll post a few more in both threads.

If you're a jet junkie and can swing a trip out to Vegas instead of an air show I would do that in a heart beat! 80 jets launching within usually 1-2 hours and then recovering in another hour.

Viper 01 flight of aggressors from the 64th Aggressor Squadron head out to hide for their prey.

Awesome Dave.

Killer paint schemes for a modeler.

They are, I would hate to paint them, but would love to find a die-cast in those schemes

Great shots Dave. Glad you scored some quality captures in nice weather. John, was not so fortunate.

Cheers,
Jeff

thanks Jeff, it sucked how bad the weather was in RF-1. I had a bad Tues morning with rain and clouds, but blue skies every other day.

Glad you liked them Piper, the aggressor skins were my favorite as well.

I would go between gates 7-9, the majority flex right around there. With a 500-600 mm lens any of those areas should get you almost everything. We had some that cut in prior, but most know to flex out towards the end.

Thanks Dave. That's a great picture of the Hawg. I just bought a Canon EF 100-400mm Lens and hopefully I'll have some time. We've got a pretty busy itinerary.

haha, thanks Helmut, gear has come a long way since then. I heard they stopped doing media days last year. Would have loved to have been that close during a flag. I had one of the pilots who flys for Draken contact me afterwards saying next time let him know I'm there and he'll get me on... Wish I knew that then....
