Thanks Piper we appreciate the comments. Yes as Blade says the Spitfire Mk IA will be FREE for all customers who bought Wings Over The Reich! Also, for anyone reading this, don't forget to install the latest update from www.wingsoverthereich.com download page, so you can access all the new skins and new features and improvements.

I am having a great time playing this sim. Over the years, since I joined here, I have tinkered and farted around with many flight sims. Now that I am recently retired I have more time, and I am finding WOTR to be exactly the type of sim I need. I love the era, I love that it is single player focused. The Campaign is a blast. I love the feeling of accomplishment of landing back safely, and reporting my kills.
I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us...very hard to explain why you're mad, even if you're not mad.

I started a random squadron and ended up in a hurricane, what was such a marvellous random event is that I picked Nottingham as the city of birth of my pilot, no reason, just the first place i thought of. When I then went through the squadron pilots after the first mission I saw a couple from NI, a Welshman, a New Zealander (nice touch) and then my actual wingman,... from Nottinghamshire! It's just data, but what a brilliant coincidence and it just loads on the immersion by the bucketful! Yep thats what OBD,S sims have loads of Chief..immersion. Ive seen pilots from my home county in WOTR and WOFF
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

I'm late to the party, as usual, but want to add my thanks too. Have finally picked this up and, like in WOFF, jumped right into the immersion pool. Brilliant. Channel convoy patrol duty, intercepting Stuka's then getting bounced by Me109 escorts, a fierce scrap, maybe a 'kill', then home in time for game-pie and a glass of rye. I don't mind Biggin Hill...someone recommended the Kings Arms Pub but, well, I've just arrived from Canada, eh. Oh, must dash, dispersal hut phone just rang...
Kind regards, Leaf
