Good racing, plenty of safety cars that tightened up the field and a great run to the finish. We were up at 4.30 am and had the Porsche or Nissan picked as the dark horse although i wanted that big Bentley to bring it home. Bathurst is such a fantastic track.

I hate how they ended the last major endurance race there. They stoped the race early because of a caution which negated all the people who had been saving fuel and completely changed the outcome of the race.

Hope this one ended better.

Agreed. I've raced on that track many times. All virtually of course. smile

I couldn't watch live so I'm very glad to see all 12 hours on YouTube this morning. I don't work Mondays or Tuesdays so I've got all my Monday chores out of the way in double quick time and am now down in the shed watching one of my favourite circuits. Fantastic coverage.

I'm determined to visit one day.

cheers
Gareth

Took me a while to get used to the commentators, but good racing will always suck me in, and it was some great racing.

Goon i've been meaning to head there for over thirty years now, i need to commit to it and make a date or it will never happen. F1 season cranking back up soon again as well, can't wait! The breaks between racing seem far too long sometimes.

Panzer, have you ever done it in VR? I know you're not a filthy console owning peasant like myself, but, the Bathurst version on the ps4 pro is a ton of fun and really adds a lot to the experience. Of course it isn't 4k or even 2..or maybe even 1080 lol, but the viewing and feel for the track is really good.

Ajay - That's the fantastic Radio Le Mans team, or at least some of them. They do all the FIA WEC races (audio only at the moment) (and MANY other series in sound and vision like Hankook Endurance, ELMS, IMSA, etc, all free to air) and also the circuit commentary for Le Mans itself. I've passed the last 10 Le Mans on the campsites and the circuit with them permanently in one ear (even if I'm not awake!) They are the best team. (I occasionally post WIP pics of an obscure part of the model I'm working on whilst watching on their Twitter while they are on air, which they read out and invite guesses as to what it is. I've had replies from all over the world.)
