I played lots of flight sims in the 90's but I never got around to buying US Navy Fighters. I did play Fleet Defender a lot though.

Yep, U.S. Navy Fighters. That's the first combat flight simulator I bought myself. My cousin's Strike Commander lit a fuse in me in '93 or '94. With my hard earned money I actually first bought Black Knight which was an F-18 game but I couldn't get it to work. My sister was the first to have a modern windows desktop PC in the house in 1995 when she graduated. I got a refund and searched around and thought about my choices for probably and hour.(My grandmother was a patient woman and also happy to see me taking time to think a decision through on how to spend the money) I finally decided on the hard box, gold edition of U.S. Navy Fighters. It was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen or played. I had to borrow a joystick from my cousin until I was able to save up and by a Gravis Blackhawk. The game had such great music too. I always remember the "#%&*$# for food" line from the commander in the campaign lol.

Except for "Flight Simulator" on a Mac SE, the first "real" flight simulator I played was EAW, followed quickly by F4 and I was hooked. Seriously got into MP with IL2. So much respect for all the old IL2 guys who put up with me on dial-up for a long time.

This is definitely US Navy Fighters (the Ukraine Campaign), and has been included in Fighters Anthology.
Fighters Anthology is still being played and improved by a group of us dedicated players. Over the last few years, I have built several new campaigns, including historical Vietnam campaigns, and made improvements to the existing campaigns (except Kuril campaign).
You can read more on my website, and download the updates.

Wow. That's very cool to see work being done on Fighters Anthology. Thanks for sharing usnraptor. Its been awhile but does FA install without problems on Windows 7? Its really interesting seeing your work on improving models and such.

I still play FA on Windows ME. I have read others have managed to get it working after some work. I'm under the impression it is easier to get it working under Windows 10 than it is with 7.
If you search here at SimHQ and at the Fighters Anthology Resource Center forum at http://jkpeterson.net/forum/, you should be able to find the info you need.
