This thread is for screenshots and very lite captions and commentary. Please feel free to contribute to its intended purpose. If you can't do that then go start or join a thread in the ROF section or ask SimHQ to start an FC Section and have your discussion there. It is pretty simple really. Thanks for your consideration.
You are posting screenshots which are getting people interested in a product where they are asking, "is it worth it yet" and some of us who bought it are informing them if we feel it is worth it yet.
It was worth it for me just to support them but as for price/content no its not worth it.
Sorry to dirty your screenshot thread but people were actually talking about the games here vs in the BoS / RoF forums
I hope the origial video poster on youtube doesn't mind me re-posting this here. It looks very good. Certainly fluid and smooth. Also, unless I am missing something, it appears that the trees no longer "rotate" as they do in RoF, which is a nice little visual upgrade. If / when they can fill the sky with more planes, I can see WWI flight sim MP buffs making the jump.
If they would employ Pat Wilson to make the official campaign and spend a little time upgrading the AI, they would have a chance of capturing some of the single player crowd too.

This 100% Hellshade. I know you love WOFF UE and it is the king of WWI Combat Sims(I do also), but I like your openness to what could possibly happen with ROF. I hate to say but I don't think the AI will ever match WOFF UE's AI, I sincerely hope I am totally wrong, but if 1C would put the effort into FC to make it 75-85% as good in the AI department then they would have a smash hit with a good career mode also, maybe ala PWCG. I think there net code(last update mentioned them working on it for BOX) will only improve so MP should be a hit as long as the community can come up with creative ways to use MP. If Devs in general would only understand that AI & SP customers are just as big of an opportunity as MP customers are (maybe bigger?) then they would see the importance of AI, dynamic campaigns and branching scripted campaigns. Anyway, it is good to see some people not comparing and judging FC after 2weeks out of the gate. I intend to support OBD and 1C as long as they produce good content and enjoy each product for what it brings to the WWI niche. Here are my most recent pics from a little messing around I did with the weather, ROF skins and time of day to see how it looks. Enjoy.
S!Blade<><
P.S. I have no proof, but it sure looks like the DM has been updated to me. Maybe it is just DX11?????
Am I seeing screenshots with skins that were not included in the pre-purchase offer? If so, are they up for grabs? And where can I find them? Thanks, BadBud

BadBud, the skins for ROF work in FC, but they are a little darker. The template for the DRI has been released and quite a few skins have been released over on the IL2 Forums.
Pics look great! Have to say however, even though I was initially excited when FC came out, the thought of paying again for all the content that I bought for RoF, that is going to be ported over to FC, leaves me thinking, should I? What will really sell it for me is not the plane content, but will they sort out the AI, and the biggest thing, is how detailed the western front battlefield will look, because the RoF version was sparse and sterile.

Agreed, but I actually look at it like, 1. What other entertainment can I receive so much enjoyment from for so actual little cost. I will use this for years to come, and 2. I look at it like keeping 1C & the GBS alive so that maybe, Lord Please!, just maybe, 1C will take SPs seriously and put some major effort into developing a good AI for GB & FC. It just boggles my mind how they haven't taken the plunge and invested in developing a competent AI or a Dynamic Mission Campaign. The Career is pretty good for short use and the rest of the Sim is so primed for a good AI and DMC that IMHO SPs could support 1C into the future while MPs were loving the online play also. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith, which they never did completely with ROF, and just do what needs to be done. GBs & FCs desperately needs this.
On a side note, the Camel and Pfalz really look good. They both fly very good also. The FMs are very good to me. I wish they would add the individual HOTAS axis adjustments. Maybe someday.
I'm really happy with FC because it brings VR to ww1 sim, so that's a huge plus for me which makes me happy to pay again.
Having said that, I really it could also mean better AI. I think the devs have talked about that, but in practice I still see a lot of dogfights end up with a foe entering a neverending turn at floor level (well, not neverending once I take care of it). I think the ww2 AI in IL2 has improved a bit, but then again a couple of weeks ago I was flying in a Spit and found myself behind an y who entered the same sort of constant turn at floor level... I wish they at least had a routine that checks their altitude, and if at floor level forces them to vary their manoeuvres - even a simple constant probability to change the direction of turning would help when it comes down to behaviour at floor level...
