Disclosure: I never played any of the previous Thief games so I'm sure that affected my reception to the last game significantly. I'am almost sure you'd see Thief 4 differently. But i can also fully understand that for someone not familiar with previous Thief games, Thief 4 could be an enjoyable one.

When I read the thread title I also instantly thought of Thief. I loved the first three games, with Metal Age my favorite. The Cradle mission from Thief 3 might be my favorite level of all time. Just brilliant.
What I've envisioned for years, is an open world Thief game. The idea is there is a vast city to be cased and plundered, and there would be other thieves going about their business too. In essence, a competition to see who the best thief in the city is. The hook is that aside from grabbing your ill-gotten gains you'd always be looking for ways to trip up the competition. Maybe you see one sneak in to a house late at night as you sit nearby in the shadows. As a guard walks by you shoot an arrow, break the window, which awakens the resident who spots the other guy, raises the alarm and the guard arrests him and hauls him off to jail while you snicker. Then you raid the house while the guard is heading back to the cop shop.
I've always wanted something like this, ever since playing the 'Life of the Party' mission in Thief 2 nearly 20 years ago.

I'd suggest trying Prey, instead, until Ascendant is finished. Prey is fantastic. As for sequels I /really/ want, Dragon's Dogma is first on my list right now. The first game was incredible, and begged for more content, and deserves a sequel like few other games.

A decent flight sim with a dynamic campaign and challenging AI.
I know, I know, never gonna happen, but a guy can dream. Same here. Wheels

Based on the sources I've read from the developers themselves, the technology simply doesn't exist yet to make AI smart enough to compete against experienced human flight simmers without the use of cheats/buffs/handicapps/ etc. Lol, and when the technology does exist and we end up with something like skynet we would complain that they got it too real. A new Silent Hunter sim using cold war era submarines and not made by ubisoft.
A next generation Age of Sail RPG in the spirit of the Akella games but a AAA product.
As far as Age of Sail era games go; I would recommend checking out Naval Action For Silent Hunter in the cold war era, I would have a look at Cold Waters. Both games are available on Steam..
I'm a crappy pilot, but one hell of a shot.

The Bladerunner RPG would be fantastic. I have played the old Westwood Studios Bladerunner game.
Another LA Noire type game with better combat, yes please
More games with capability like the ARMA series would be good. Fans of ARMA 3 know that it's pretty much a game creation game. It's even been turned into a Mario Bros type game. Google "ARMA 3 Super Miller land"
An actual Star Wars RPG that doesn't suck would be nice
17th Century European adventuring hero or scoundrel game with good combat. It's the Three musketeers era.
What kind of car is that? What does it matter? When I drive it, I'm Steve McQueen

Panzer Elite with modern graphics.
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!
