Lots of places are reporting it now starting about 15 min ago so I'd assume it is confirmed.

He lived to a long old age and most of it by the side of the woman he loved, he had the heartfelt adoration of his fans and lived to see his creations become pop culture. the only sad thing about this is in his late life he was vultured by his helpers.

Excelcior !

He is now a legend, well deserved for comic powered stories over the years. Loved his work.

I remember Marvel as the upstart comic book company vs the DC establishment.

Yeah...I am that old.

RIP Stan and congrats on a good life and thanks for the fun.

He looked amazing for 95! I’ll miss his cameos.

I only watched his cameo a couple of days ago in The Big Bang Theory, 'The Excelsior Acquisition'. I'm currently working through all the seasons again.

RIP Stan.
He lived about 16 months after the death of his wife which is pretty normal for someone who loses a long time spouse.

I have never paid attention to comics--because they're not my thing(go ahead and laugh), so I've often wondered precisely what Stan's role was in the creation of Marvel's IP. I know he was editor in chief, and also CEO/big boss man etc., but where's he fit in with the characters and stories that were written and conceived?

Regardless, the people have spoken and he was well loved, and that's enough for me. Rest in peace, man.

Stan created or co-created most of the famous Marvel superheroes like Spider Man, X-Men, Thor, Iron Man, etc.

So he literally came up with them? Interesting. And then he farmed out the writing and art to employees? I imagine he must have been directly involved with storyboarding, etc., i.e. I imagine he drew rough sequential sketches of how things would happen and then the real artists made it pretty.
