Hi,

I've been fiddling around a bit to test the "behavior" of units in a campaign from mission to mission. (Lomac 1.02)

My findings:

- Destruction of buildings, bridges and vehicles: the result (damage) is permanent("inherited" in the next mission). Great!

- Destroy a landingstrip (with penetrationbomb): result is non-permanent (planes take off in next mission). Not so great but can I live with this...

My question: why are ground units (the ones I don't destroy in a mission) NOT present in the next mission? Is this "normal" or am I doing something wrong?

I'm not too sure about you're second finding. I know that in my F-15 campaign a bombed runway resulted in planes failing to take off. This was after being hit with lots of penetration bombs from a heavy bomber. This could have been prior to 1.02 though. The planes try to take of, but die in a crater.

Thanks. I guess I didn't test that one thoroughly enough so your findings could well be true. So: great!

However I would still like to hear why (or better: if) units / groups don't appear in the next mission (when not destroyed).

Strange, isn't it?

This is because Lock On doesn't have a dynamic campaign. It just has a sequence of missions with damage to buildings being carried through.
