The Black Aces website was, shall we say, 'compromised,' forcing us to abandon the VFA-41.net domain. We have re-established a web presence at VFA-41.com.

Sadly, the message board was entirely lost and still needs to be recreated, but please update your browser link to: vfa-41.com

Interesting, was just looking at joining a squadron the past few days. I would love to join to fly the F-14 with some guys but I see you need to have the F-18 as well. Money and time would only allow me to get one carrier aircraft at the moment and the F-14 is the bird for me. If you guys ever change to allow players to join without the 18, I'd apply in a heartbeat. the Huey and Tomcat are my airframes.

Does the DCS version have enough working to have the kind of missions the 41st flew in Janes? I remember flying a few great pickup flights with the old crew.

F/A-18 is currently required because the F-14 Tomcat does not yet exist... If we didn't require the F/A-18, we'd be pilots with no airplanes. Not good for mission readiness.

@Wharfrat of course we are anxiously anticipating more precision guided weapons, but we've been flying some great missions with the weapon systems currently employed.

Sorry Rhino, I applied today but since I am still waiting for the release of the F-14 I cant do much with the group at the moment. Unless a Huey pilot is needed, then I could wipe the electric rust off that and fly some SARs. Got my key for the F-14 so once that is out, I'll be anxious to fly.

Love your group and have followed it for years as an old Janes Rhino flier...admire your passion and inshare it...what keeps me from getting involved is the strict activity requirements...I can probably fly 2 to 4 times a month or more but not guaranteed at least once every single week.
