The search function in the Archives isn't working for me or I am doing something wrong.
I even read the information in the advanced search tips link.
No matter what I search I keep getting this message.



Searched:
Oleg Maddox
IL-2
tailwheel lock
missions
usermade missions
user made missions

Nothing special about the search terms I just picked them to try out the search feature in the Archives.
I tried a few in the regular forum search and they were found so it's not the search terms IMHO.

Try it again.

Be sure and set the pointer for more than 1 year.
Select which forum you want it to search in.
Don't let it search in all forums at once by not selecting a specific forum.
Use the wildcards (example:*IL-2*) if no results found.
Use quotes for multi-word strings (example: "user made missions").

I got returns on 4 of the things you looked for, but not on "usermade missions" and "user made missions".

I just saw your post. I'll try it later today.
It's running a bit late for me, or early depending on your point of view.

I tried it while logged off and I was able to use it.
Like you said it won't find anything if use 1 year.
I get the message I mentioned in my first post.

Since I know what not to do I can use it now.

I am getting this error for every thread I try to open in the forum archives.

I see the Forums Archive main page and I can open the individual archives but if I try to open a thread in one of the archives I get the error message.

The maximum Date Range should be updated in the Archives.
(Maximum date range is 12 years)
This only allows for searches back to 2006 and the Archives have posts going back to 2000 in the EAW archives.

Unless there is a way to allow searches without any date range restrictions I would think setting it for 25 years should give some leeway.
