Godspeed Murphy. Although I did not know the man in person, I knew enough of him from his words for him to earn my utmost respect. And from what I know, a life well-lived which is all anyone can ask for.
I didn't know this chap, but I feel the affection and respect shown for him here will go down as part of his legacy. I hope that his nearest and dearest will somehow have access to this thread and read how he was held in esteem here.
RIP Murphy. A good man through and through, and a pillar of this community.
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!
I had more than a few public and private talks with Murphy.
I had long hoped that some day we could meet in person, have a few...drinks, laughs, discussions, whatever. I should have visited him some years ago when I had the time and the means.
Great guy and, no doubt an even greater husband and father who spent his working life protecting honest folks in a MEAN city.
Again, goodbye my friend.
I now have PM's saved from PositiveG, Destructis and now Murphy. None from Ming sadly and, I am afraid he may not be with us anymore either.
Three, maybe four of our best.
Fly well friends, and if you have a chance to visit with a friend here, take it.

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet. I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

He was traveling in my area a year or two ago and we talked about meeting up, but his schedule wouldn't allow it. Wish we'd been able to. He was one of the first people to welcome me here at Sim HQ. Going to miss you Murphy.
