I guess it's something that the dev's can't address otherwise they would have changed it. Let's move beyond speculation: Pol, is this the case? Or does OBD consider this a feature and its presence is the result of decision to implement it? Personally, and respectfully, I think it's ahistoric. I can't find one case of a pilot dying because his plane taxiied or rolled into a fence. Even in WW1. Even if there are one or two cases--there seem to be exceptions to everything--only one or two cases highlights the rarity of the event. It really is frustrating to have a great mission, nurse a damaged plane back across the lines, have to land off-field--all great fun--and then roll into a fence at 5 or 10 mph, and die in a plane that shows no further damage from hitting the fence. We're not talking about the Berlin Wall, either. Rather, some flimsy, old-ass-wood-looking fences. Meanwhile, I have scores of photos of WW1 planes smashed up and pranged with their pilots posing next to them, with minor injuries at worst. Meanwhile, my pilot is dead in a plane that is undamaged from the fence collision, standing upright next to a FOAWL fence that is unbroken.

No real comment other than to say that that is a great answer Pol that explains your position, lets us know that you understand what we are questioning and says why you think it would be worse to change it. I don't want to tell you how to do things and I know you guys are busy, but I think some of the problems on the announcement thread could have been cleared up with responses like this. Anyway, I appreciated it!

I suspect this can be done as long as you are willing to pay the FPS price, since the wall will have more vertices than the fence and thus tax the CPU & GPU more.
CPU = i9 11900K GPU = RTX 3080 Ti Monitor = ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 2160p G-sync

Great news Pol and many thanks to WM. Early I know but could some of the fence solutions be possibly used in WOFF in the future also? Many thanks +1 Thx.
