Just got original Boxed version of BoB II, updated to v2.13 up and running on Win7 x 64 system. It's very nice, visually, and looks like it's worthwhile investigating.

Any suggestions as to patches/mods? General advice? Links?

I've gotten EAW and Mig Alley up and running on my system, after a struggle, and a lot of help.

I'll be grateful for your input.

I understand. The newer games, for the most part, are really better than the older games, although if the "older" game is not TOO old, fans can offer some very nice upgrades, usually for free.
