Wiki says it did, but this does highlight something to perhaps address in future, and that would be the option to transfer to a different squadron if you're moved somewhere to the ' back'.

I was moved to Shrewsbury, but was getting scrambled for intercepts over the channel with a long flight to get there! No idea if this is realistic, but I'm guessing not. It would perhaps be better to create some defense of Liverpool/Coventry etc. missions for these locations? But the short solution for now would be a transfer option to a more Southern based sqd.

Thanks Chief..WOFFUE had real historical dates for squadrons/ Aerodromes, you got moved to different places on the correct date etc . That's why I mentioned the 245 squad thing.

I'm not sure but I'm assuming OBD are/will do the same thing with WOTR but I understand that it's a phase 1 release and all good things come to those who wait. Where were you moved to was it RAF Shawbury? or Ternhill There both actually only a few miles from where I live, cool.

I'm really enjoying the sim,me and my squad mates had a awesome battle over the channel last night,it was arguably some of the best dogfighting action I've had in any sim to date it was awesome. Unfortunately I clipped the top of some trees whilst landing, and bought the farm.

Thanks OBD I'm loving the sim the AI is worth the price alone, the radio sounds the campaign..keep up the great work guys.

Not sure, it's possible the number is wrong rather than the squadron location.

It was Shrewsbury. Being moved is great, it just felt a bit weird being sent down to South of Cornwall for a mission.

It will stay as it is, the reason they are in Cottam field is we don't have Aldergrove in Northern Ireland. So they are where they are up north/out of the action instead.

There may be some like this where they moved off the map - or where the field doesn't exist in WOTR currently.

Sorry to ask Pol is this the same "issue" with 249 Tom Ginger Neils SQD aswell mate? them being based at RAF Church Fenton (N Yorkshire) .

Just started to read Gun button to fire and wanted to join them but i dont see 249 SQD around? cheers Pol

Edit: Not sure if its just me but...Ive tried 73,87 and 607 SQD and i create pilot etc and get this pic below before ive even flown a mission. Basically career over before it begins? FWIW airfields were Church Fenton and Cottom cheers

Not all squadrons are in. If it's not there, then that's one of them that's not in.

If you choose a squadron and it's North England then likely it believes you have been pulled back.
Move the date, and if they move to a southern field then you should be able to fly.

Not sure we can do anything about it at the moment ..will see.

Basically it depends on where they are based, and where the action is. If you are based up North no point joining in to fend off Luftwaffe down south. You are effectively too far from the action.
So choose a squad date time that is in the action area (more south), or scroll the date along and see if they move near the action.
So it is what it is at the moment, the message could be better but there isn't actaully a problem there currently.
