Boyle as a Bond director seemed a bit odd for me from the beginning. He's way to independent to film basically an action flick. It's a genre of it's own with certain rules and style. Not much room to do a more creative stuff in here.

I'm surprised he was even hired in the first place. Boyle is very much an auteur art house type director. That's not exactly a right fit for an action spy movie in my opinion.

I felt the same way when it was announced that Sam Mendes was going to direct the second and third films, but he did an outstanding job, IMO. I was willing to give Boyle a chance, considering the quality of his other films.

Christopher Nolan gets my vote for this one.

Maybe Ron Howard will be brought in to save the day?

Lol, but I highly suspect he would do a darn good job if given the opportunity though.
