Great.... I just bought the CD from natural point, still on the way. Should i return it and order online? Also I was told I would need my cd since I bought the CD, but the online version doesn't require a CD. This is crap. I'm wondering why I invest in this game when they make it a pain for the user to play it/buy it

Here's another question. Would you buy FC if you really didn't care about flying the frog? Is there enough other content to make you wanna buy FC?

Should i return it and order online? That's up to you. Also I was told I would need my cd since I bought the CD, but the online version doesn't require a CD. If you buy the CD version, you will need the CD to play. If you buy the online version, you obviously will not need the CD to play, since there is no CD. This is crap.
I'm wondering why I invest in this game when they make it a pain for the user to play it/buy it I'm not sure where your frustration comes from. Except for the inital problems with online downloads from the Eagle Dynamics site, the Flaming Cliffs release has always provided more ways to buy the product than is typical. If anything, this makes it easier to buy, not harder. I'm very surprised that a lot of people don't seem to know that they can buy FC online and have it ready to install just as soon as they can complete the download. I suppose this has something to do with Naturalpoint's advertising for CD distribution, but it was a well-known fact well before the FC release that this product was going to only be distributed to the Western market via the internet. Only recently did Naturalpoint and Simware work out CD distribution to the West.

If you only fly offline, then the changes to the Russian jets justify $29 I think. If you only fly the F-15 offline, then it's somewhat harder to justify. I've flown the -25T to check out the AFM, but I can't see myself flying it much as I'm not an Air to Mud guy. You sound like me. I flew LOMAC a little offline when I first got it but my favorite thing is flying online. I'm very partial to the Su-27 and Mig29 having played Su27 Flanker and Flanker 2. The F15 is nice too being that its the C. I'm not much of a mudmover either but from all the reviews I've read so far they mainly talk about the Su25. It does look great and the AFM has to be fun. The new BVR modes sound good too. How are things online? Does anybody fly with externals off? That was one thing that kinda soured me on flying LOMAC. Nobody wanted to fly without external views. Is 1.1 pretty smooth for online play?
