Hi Guys, me again....

Can someone tell me if there is a way of checking if the data from the game is actually being exported ?

My original XP system used the EECHCommserver program by Firebird to pickup the exported data and send it across a network cable to SIOC running on another PC. This set up still works fine and I can see the data change while flying.

The new PC with windows 7 64 bit has a problem.

EECHCommserver says it has connected successfully and SIOC shows a connected client but no data is changing in the console screen the way it does with the XP machine.

The exportdata setting in EECH.ini is set to 1 and I have also tried it with the new version of EECHCommserver.

I'd like to be able to monitor where the data from the game is actually exported to if possible. Is there a tool to do this, or does anybody know where in memory it is stored ?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

Is it exported over a network? You might be able to use a network sniffer to see the data.

You could look at wireshark or fiddler.

Hi Messyhead,

Yes it is over a network but just a crossover cable between the two machines.

I'll have a look for those and try them.

Ideally I'd like to see the area of memory where the exported data resides but I don't know where that is.

I presume Firebird would know as he wrote the CommClient but he's not been around for a while now.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Guys,
After monitoring data between the PC's (or lack of it) with Fiddler I found the problem.

Originally I had a program to start the whole process called L4SCRunner which executed the programs for key encoder, autohotkey scripts, EECHCommClient and then ran EECH.

Unfortunately, there was not a version for Windows 7 64 bit so I had to try and recreate this using batch files. Anyway, long story short, CommClient was not getting started properly.

I changed the way the programs were called and now have working data at the SIOC console.

Thanks to messyhead for the tip about Fiddler.

Cheers,

Andy
