This 'We're not going to make much money on the P47 because 1c/777 will have theirs out long before we get our sh1t together so we've pretty much scrapped that idea and are looking to divert attention by releasing something else. What will generate the most sales guys?' What about the f#cking me262 that was part of the kickstarter also? Oh yeah right, scrapped that ideas too because 1c/777 will have theirs out long before ED get their sh1t together on that one too. WTF is wrong with folk over there. Do they have to check their gonads in at the door before they're allowed on the forums these days? If you can't do the P47 do the other aircraft promised in the kickstarter. Why is nobody saying that?
DCS Kickstarter Wags July 2014 "In this July 2014 update, the primary news is in regards to the restructured backer rewards. After a careful review of the older system under RRG, we found it financially unattainable." Wags October 2017 "the investment vs. generated revenue has been excellent for the World War II aircraft. In fact, the P-51D Mustang has twice the cost effectiveness of the A-10C Warthog."

Drop WW2, altogether. It's never going to be satisfying the way it's being done. They should have done Korea. The F-86 and MiG-15 are beautiful. You have the Mustang. Build the F-84 or F-80. Some AI B-29's. Meteor, maybe. Yak3 or 9 to give the Mustang something to tangle with. Kimpo airfield, Antung China for the MiGs. Yeah, heading north out of Kimpo for the Yalu. Hearing, "We have a train leaving the station, boys!" over the radio as MiGs start rolling out of Antung. Oh Brother! I'll have to just dream, I guess.
"From our orbital vantage point, we observe an earth without borders, full of peace, beauty and magnificence, and we pray that humanity as a whole can imagine a borderless world as we see it, and strive to live as one in peace." Computers are pretty powerful these days, i know ED arent the most competent, when it comes to programming, just look at the 2.5 fiasco. But if documentation is the problem, which is laughable, why not build a computer simulation of the p47 and throw it in a computerized windtunnel? Hell if they cant do it themselves farm the work out to a more competent company. Theres been no word on the 262 for years. Why not work on that if the p47 has stalled? Why ask about something completely different? Folk are waiting for their modules. I and others are still waiting for our ED produced module as part of the restructured rewards that will only be available once the project is complete. Which now looks like it never will be. Sithspin asked a similar question in regards to rewards on the forums just before the rewards were slashed. And the castrated forum regulars went along with it. A history of broken promises and getting shafted by ED is where I get all that from. They should scrap the WW2 project and refund the money if they cant complete it. They should have done that in the first place once they realised not enough folk backed it.

Well, it's a "what if" thread. Why not simply ask "what if ED actually went out and did what it promised to do?"
Stop asking about more work when you can't even handle what's on your plate.

I contributed to Ilya's Kickstarter campaign years ago, excited only for the P-47 being developed. Fortunately I reduced my pledge from $50 to $20 just before the Kickstarter campaign closed. In the chaos that followed I never did download the aircraft I was eligible for and I assume I have lost that reward forever. But I was only ever interested in the P-47 anyhow so "oh well."

Still not much love for DCS WWII even on their forums. Oh yea there is a new Spitfire variation to fly. AI may have gotten an up grade as the 109K can no longer can fly like a bat out hell even when damaged, and the asset pack has some new assets! But how long has it been since WWII had its own major update?

I don't have an ED account. You can go into your KS account and look for the pledge fulfillment form or contact ED with your kickstarter receipt. Im sure they will allow you to redeem whatever you bought. But then again maybe not because the KS wasnt really for ED... such a screwed up situation. Glad I never backed it. GL

Yep, I was in this and I have just given up on the P47 and 262. I asked what Ed was going to do about the VEAO P40 fiasco and got banned for like 3 or 4 months I think it was. Flatline is an A$$hole and nobody over there gives a rats ass about taking responsibility for the third parties they contract. That VEAO fiasco still burns my ass. If I ever build a more powerful computer I might try using the Normandy map, but it just doesn't perform well for me now. I hate to say it but I would Love to buy the Mig19 but, I don't dare because there is no scenario to fly it in. I have the Mig15 and F86 also which are quite excellent but again, no scenario to fly in. DCS is just a discombobulated POS right now. It is a shame because the WWII potential is there, but no vision as to where it is going or where it will end as far as a complete late war scenario. The Korean scenario is there for the taking, but ED is blind and wants to be everything to everyone. Instead it is nothing to a whole lot of potential customers. I haven't bought anything for years and doubt I will ever again unless something radically changes. But that is ok, back to WOFF UE, WOTR, CLOD, GBS, FC, ROF and good old IL2 1946, not to mention TC. Life is good for me and I am spoiled for sims, so ED can stuff it! S!Blade<><
