I don't take the best screenies, but I just wanted to show that you don't need a super computer to run DCS 2.5. I'm enjoying the hell out of this since moving everything over to an SSD. I have a 4 year old ASUZ. A 2 GB 860M Video Card and 8 GB of RAMM. I did increase the amount of virtual RAMM. Looks terrific, runs great, and I'm killing 109's with that Spitfire Mk9. I picked up the Spit, the Normandy map and the WW2 assets with my 50 dollar Steam gift card during this last sale. I had bought them before and returned them, but thought I'd give it another chance upon seeing how well DCS is running on the new drive. I'm glad I did. Keeping them this time! I even repurchased the P-51 for 19.99 so that I could fly it over Normandy. The Spitfire is an AWESOME model. It really is.

And a couple of shots of that beautiful F-86. A favorite.

Pooch: tell me why having DCS would run better on SSD drive? I do not have my DXS on my SSD drive.
Thanks,
BadBud

Bud, I wish I could. I was actually only expecting a small improvement. Honestly, I'm a bit surprised. First off, it starts so fast it took me by surprise. I used to wait so long for the game to open up that I could start dozing off. It was absolutely rediculous. When I moved it to the SSD, I watched that progress bar sail across so fast that I said, "Daaamn!"
I'm running it at 1920X1080 and it's realy running well. Admittedly, I'm not running it on high, but I'm running it on a 4 year old laptop. According to a lot of people it shouldn't be running like this.
Move it over to the SSD and see what happens. I'd like to know if you have the same results.
