Setup:
CH Pro throttle, Fighterstick, Pro Pedals.
Ch Control manager 4.55
In my profile, I keep pedals as a DX device (DX Mode checked off). For throttle/stick buttons, I assign key pressed (mapped mode).
When I start FC3, the pedals are NOT detected and in the Control Options I have "CH Control Manager Device 2/1 only."
. However, if I switch the Control Manager to Direct mode, the game detects my joystick/throttle and pedals with correct names. However, I lose button mapping.
How can I get my pedals working? Should I give up and look at a different HOTAS/pedals setup?

Thanks

I'm not familiar with CH hardware or software, but Direct X has a limit of 8 axes per USB device. If windows (regardless of sim) sees all those controllers as one device and that limit is exceeded, some axes won't be recognised.

I would suggest talking to 531 Ghost.

Shouldn't the "DX Mode" field be checked to be active/selected?

I run the same combo on mapped mode with DX mode enabled. As DX device i select "CM device 1" or 2 or 3.
Most buttons are mapped to DX as "Directx Device = CM Device 1,2 or 3" plus "DirectX control = Button 1 to 32",
depending on device, plus a few buttons mapped as keys, like TeamSpeak or TrackIR center.

There are multiple X/Y axis, but on different devices. DCS shows all three devices in control setup.

Didn't have time to reply this AM. But, I've assigned my pedals as Left CMDevice 1 X Axis Right CMDevice 1 Y Axis and checking Reverse for both. I have the Rudder axis set to CMDevice 1 Z axis. Works like a champ.

Thank you Ghost. Could you point me to the specific CH mapping file so I can fiddle with it.

Pedals are simple devices. Use mapped mode and map the three axes to CM3 device.

Thank you all for the help. I made some progress as follows:
1. Set CH to direct mode.
2. Map axis in DCS
3. Set CH to mapped mode. It appears that all the axes/buttons were working (knock on wood)!
