Yes, it's me again. But no, I'm not trying to pass off as Andy. I'm just a wannabee.

Andy has been writing about T&B and angles in ALL his tutorials, though sometimes indirectly (and maybe except for the a2g stuff). Andy had a series of 7 or so articles way back from the Fighters Anthology web board that discussed, basically, how to gain/lose/trade angles and how to use the external view to see how you're doing it. It's all in Air Combat Corner now, under the BFM 101 and the Tactics 101 series.
Someday SimHQ or Andy will burn all of this in a comprehensive interactive CD or DVD with active tutorials, mission tracks/films, voice-overs, narrated by Pete Bonanni and Tom Cruise. Until then, you'll have to settle for the following alternatives:
1. Download all the articles and read them.
2. Watch Top Gun and try to see how they performed the maneuvers. (Hint: ignore the dialogue.)

As shok said, you can find quite a bit of reading material on A2A maneuvers and tactics in the Air Combat Corner at SimHQ.

My first discussion of how to fly A2A in a sim was the BFM 101 series. Then came the 'It's All a Matter of Perspective' series. Follow-on articles covered mission planning, A2G theory as well as A2A gunnery. The BFM 101 and 'Perspective' series are your best bet for an entry level discussion of BFM academics. Give them a look and then get back to me on anything that you do not understand. Don't be shy!! I can guarantee that if you have a question, there are any number of others out there with the same question.

Andy
