So what's up with it?

Has anybody here tried it? If so a brief description of how it works would be appreciated.

I personally believe in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus and that deficit spending is sustainable forever. We really do need more Admirals in the Navy than ships and that millions of more poor immigrants will jump start the economy.

i've played a bunch of multiplayer rounds

it's lance-vs-lance, with a "c-bill" limit so you can set it low and force smaller mechs or have higher limit or unlimited for the 4-Atlas drop

gameplay is the same as SP... initiative is VERY important vs human player.

instead of a "morale" meter for special actions, there is a "rage" meter. basically it starts on zero and goes up as bad stuff happens to you. this prevents those crippling aimed-shot leg destruction situations in the first round

Hmm, sounds different.

So it's 1 v 1, lance against lance?

Do any of your SP guys retain their stats on an MP game? Or your mechs for that matter?
