@bisher: YESSSSS!!!! THANK YOU!! Sweet shots!! MOAR!!

tomcat

Are these part of ED's release or are these Skate's fictional skins?

If DCS is to be a screenshot generator, might as well get the most out of it! On an unrelated note, anyone know how far along the Tomcat module is?

I was just checking on the modules on Steam and they are pricey! Maybe one day in the future when they are on sale I could get a couple. Everything, planes and maps are 50-80 dollars a piece! I think what I would want the most are the Nevada map, F-5E Tiger and the Hornet. The Tomcat is defitately a must too whenever that comes out but man they need to start making some meaningful campaigns and carrier ops or something else to get away from the old Crimea map. Do they have any intentions on revamping campaigns, maybe making them more dynamic? It would be cool to see some intrepid third party group come out with a module that does one thing, changes the interface and injects some old school combat sim personality with interactive planning rooms/briefing/debriefing screens. Maybe make some sort of XCOM-like pilot generator with roster management to breath some fun into the campaign scenarios. Not sure how that would work but it would be nice.

The skins are skatezilla's yes

DCS has elements that make it a great screenshot platform. I would like to have the ability to manipulate aircraft more in the mission editor, but still learning smile

So I'm following this ai and suddenly it drops its landing gear

I set only one waypoint for the ai and eventually it lands

Yes. I've discovered the free camera mode. I'd like to have the ability to move the camera anywhere I want. So far I've only been able to rotate on the axis

Contrails of my aircraft and an AIM 9 air to air missile. Immediately after launch the missile ascends and then dives for it's target.

You've got an eye for good shots, bisher! I especially like the 2nd one, looks like you took a page out of Macross Zero

He might be worried it'll be too noisy if he gets down too slow. Don't want to wake the target up before the surpise kabooms! biggrin

I want to see that screen shot! biggrin

And Bisher, regarding your AI buddy suddenly landing, the AI is lazy, and I've found once it's out of tasks, it'll pack it in and go home. In this case, it hit it's waypoint, so that's all she wrote.

Actually I think I was too low, I was at 13,000 feet. The mountains too were up to 13,000 feet. I believed I slammed into the side of a mountain when I unpaused smile
