I personally wouldn't bother with LOMAC with only 256 MB of RAM. It may run but I'll guarantee you bad stutters. Get at least another 256MB, better more.

i have a ge force 2 MX 400, and im running on everything on high settings, except the water, cos for this old technologie it makes no diference, the water still looks dull for me, a pity cos the pacific fighter and FB water is really sweet in my video card, the only problem i had were the maverivk TV mfd, but its a bug i think cos sometimes it works sometimes it does not,my clouds are high or detailed and i havent got this disapearing problem, although i think theres a few clouds in some missions. so take a guess if it runs smooth ( except when strafing, the smoke on the ground cause a little lag,not much but does) in your sistem it should turn out very well, i felt no diference usint terrain pre load, at 20, 50 or 100 km, the effect seems the same so i use at 20 km to preserve some RAM, i have 1 Gb by the way. (i think its my ram who is taking all that, not my GF but whatever the important is it to run smooth) hhehehehe
